The Carmel Tunnels project is one of the most prominent and innovative transportation engineering projects in Israeli history, for which El-Mor was chosen to perform the electrical, security and signaling works, which included:
- Installing the tunnel lighting system according to the highest safety standards
- Building an MV grid in an array of 9 energy centers
- Installing MV transformers and switchgears
- Manufacturing and installing 3200-amp electrical switchboards
- Installing kilometers of cable metal ladders
- Placing, terminating and connecting cable ends (MV, LV, fiber optic and communication cables)
- Installing generator-sets
- Grounding and lightning protection
- Very low voltage systems: PA, fire detection and suppression, signalization and monitoring system
The work was carried out during: 2009-2011.
